Chicken Half Moon (Baked and Fried 2 Method) Recipe for 2020 Ramadan Recipes by Kitchen With Amna

Dough Ingredients:

Plain Flour 2 Cups
Sugar 1 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Yeast 1 tsp
Milk Powder 2 tbsp
Melted Butter 2 tbsp
Warm Water as you required

Stuffing Ingredients:

Chicken 1 Cup (Boiled and Shredded)
Carrot 1 (Chopped)
Capsicum 1 (Chopped)
Tomato Ketchup 2 tbsp
Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
Black Pepper Powder 1 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Paprika Powder 1/2 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese 1 Cup (Grated)

Coating Ingredients:

Egg as you required
Corn Flakes/BreadCrumbs as you required


Step 1: Take a bowl and add Plain Flour, Sugar, Salt, Yeast, Milk Powder and mix it well and knead with Water and add Melted Butter and knead it well for 5 minutes. After that cover it and rest it for 2 hours at room temperature.

Step 2: Take a pan and add oil and then add Boiled Chicken and stir it well and slightly fry it and then add Carrot, Capsicum, Black Pepper Powder, Salt, Paprika Powder and stir it well on medium flame for 2 minutes and then add Tomato Ketchup and stir it well and then add Mayonnaise and turn off the flame and stir it well and rest it until it becomes into room temperature.

Step 3: Now rolling the dough and then cut it into circle shape with cutter. Watch video for proper understanding. Follow this and cut all dough in circle shape. Now take a circle shape bread and place chicken stuffing and place some grated Cheese and fold it (Watch video for proper understanding) Follow this and make all half moon breads.

Step 4:

Baked Half Moon: Now take a baking tray and grease with oil and then place all half moons for baking and then fork them and coat with egg and bake them for 25 minutes on 200c. Your Oven should be preheated for 25 minutes on 200c. After that your baked half moon is ready.
Fried Half Moon: After 3rd Step coat the half moon with eggs and then coat with corn flakes/BreadCrumbs and Deep fry them. Follow this and fry all Half Moons With Method.
