How to make Chicken Pataakha Recipe With Homemade Masala at Home.
Masala Ingredients:
Coriander Seeds 2 tbsp
Cumin 1 tbsp
Star Anise 3
Cinnamon 2
Green Cardamom 6
Black Cardamom 3
Cloves 5
Bay Leaf 2
Nutmeg Powder 1/4 tsp
Mace Powder 1/4 tsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder 2 tbsp
Fennel 1 tbsp
Chicken Ingredients:
Chicken 1/2 Kg
Chicken Pataka Masala 2 tbsp
Yogurt 1/2 Cup
Lemon Juice 2 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper Powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
Red Food Color 1 Pinch
Tarka Ingredients:
Green Chilli 4 (Chopped)
Tomato Ketchup 1/4 Cup
Garlic 6 Cloves
Curry Leaves 1 tsp
Oil 1/4 Cup
Direction:
Step 1: Take a pan and add Coriander Seeds, Cumin, Star Anise, Cinnamon, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Cloves, Bay Leaf, Fennel and roast it for 1 to 2 minutes and then grind it well and then add Nutmeg Powder, Mace Powder, Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder and mix it well. Your Masala is Ready.
Step 2: Now take a bowl and add chicken and add Lemon Juice and mix it well and then add Ginger Garlic Paste and mix it well and then add Salt and add 2 tbsp Masala (from step 1) and then add Turmeric Powder, Black Pepper Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Yogurt, Red Food Color and mix it well and rest it for 1/2 Hour at room temperature.
Step 3: Take a pot/pan and add oil and add Curry Leaves and stir it well and then add Garlic 6 Cloves, Green Chilli and stir it and slightly fry them and then put marinated chicken from step 2 and stir it well and cover with lid and cook for 20 minutes on medium to low flame.
Step 4: After that remove the lid and add Tomato Ketchup and stir it well and turn off the flame. Your Chicken Pataakha is Ready.
