Dahi Baray Ingredients:
Moong Dal 2 Cups (Soaked For 1 Hour)
Dal Mash 1/2 Cup (Soaked For 1 Hour)
Baking Soda 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Cumin 1 tsp
Yogurt 1/2 kg
Salt 1/2 tsp (For Yogurt)
Baray Masala Ingredients:
Coriander Seeds 2 tbsp
Cumin 2 tbsp
Button Red Chilli 12
Amchoor Powder 1 tsp
Black Salt 1 tsp
Ajwain 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper 1 tsp
Lemon Salt 1/2 tsp
Cloves 6
Green Chutney Ingredients:
Green Coriander 1 Cup (Chopped)
Mint 1/2 Cup
Garlic 2 Cloves
Green Chili 2
Salt 1/2 tsp
Tamarind Chutney Ingredients:
Tamarind Pulp 2 Cups
Brown Sugar 1/2 Cup
Cumin Powder 1 tsp
Paprika Powder 1 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Ginger Powder 1/2 tsp
Dahi Baray Direction:
Step 1: Take a grinder/chopper machine and add Soaked Moong Dal, Dal Mash and grind it well and then put into a large bowl and then add Salt, Cumin and mix it well and then add Baking Soda and mix it well and cover it and rest it for 10 minutes at room temperature.
Step 2: After that take a karahi and add oil and preheat it well and then take a large spoon and put this batter one by one and fry Baray (Watch Video for proper understanding) until they become into golden brown color. Follow this and make all barys.
Step 3: After that rest them until they become into room temperature. After that you can also store them into plastic bag for 2 weeks in room temperature or soaked them into water for 10 minutes and then strainer it with hands.
Step 4: Now you can make Dahi Baray. Take a bowl and add Yogurt and add salt and mix it well and then Take a serving bowl and place Baray and then put Yogurt and then put Green Chutney, Tamarind Chutney and Baray Masala and serve it. Now your Dahi Baray are ready.
Baray Masala Direction:
Take a pan and add Coriander Seeds and slightly roast it and dish out it and then again add Cumin and slightly roast it and dish out it. Follow this and add Button Red Chilli, Ajwain, Cloves, Black Pepper (Instead Powder Form Masalas) and roast them one by one. After that take a grinder and put all these masalas and grind them well and take a bowl and add this roasted and grinded masalas and also add (Powder Form) Amchoor Powder, Black Salt, Lemon Salt and mix it well. Now your Baray Masala is Ready.
Green Chutney Direction:
Now take a grinder jar and add Green Coriander, Mint, Garlic, Green Chili and grind them well and then add salt and mix it well. Now your green Chutney is ready.
Tamarind Chutney Direction:
Take a sauce pan and add Tamarind Pulp, Brown Sugar, Cumin Powder, Paprika Powder, Salt, Ginger Powder and stir it well on medium flame for 5 minutes. After that your Tamarind Chutney is ready.
