  • Rice 2 Cups (Soaked for 2 hours)
  • Sugar 2 Cups
  • Khoya/Mawa 1/2 Cup
  • Zarda Ashrafi 1/2 Cup
  • Ghee 1/2 Cup
  • Milk 1 Cup
  • Pistachios 1 tbsp
  • Almond 1 tbsp
  • Coconut 1 tbsp (Chopped)
  • Raisin 1 tsp
  • Green Cardamom 4
  • Cloves 4
  • Yellow Color 1/2 tsp
  • Kewra Essence 1/2 tsp


  1. Take a pot add 1 liter water and slightly boiled it and then add yellow color and stir it and then add Soaked Rice and stir it and boiled it for 5 minutes on high flame (Half cook it). After that strainer it.
  2. Now take a pot and add ghee and melt it and then add Green Cardamom, Cloves and slightly fry it and then add milk and stir it and then add sugar and stir it on medium flame and cook it until sugar melted.
  3. After that add Raisin, Coconut, Almond, Pistachios and add boiled rice (from step 1) and stir it slightly and cook for 1 minute on medium flame and then add Zarda Ashrafi and Kewra Essence and cover it with lid and cook for 30 minutes on very low flame.
  4. After that dish out your zarda and garnish with Khoya/Mawa.
